I am an Electrical Engineer graduate from the University of Akron currently working as a network administrator. I have been tutoring middle school, high school and college students in math ranging from: basic math to Calculus III. I also taught a pre-engineering class for high school students for the Upward Bound program at the University of Akron from 2001 - 2005. I’m currently teaching a financial literacy class to 6th and 7th grade students at Emanuel Christian Academy and I am a “Seven Habits of Highly effective People” facilitator for adults and teens.
I instinctively observe each student’s learning style, motivation and the way they think to help maximize the student’s strengths while improving upon their weaknesses.
I understand that things come up. However, I have many students that I am working with and need 24 hour advanced notice for a canceled lesson; otherwise, you will be charged my rate. Cancellations must be done via text, and or phone. DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL to cancel a lesson, because I may be working with students and do not have access to the internet. Text is the number one choice, voicemail is second.
I have helped students understand every math subject from prealgebra through algebra, discrete math, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. Often, when a student is having challenges in math, it is because one or two concepts slipped by, or weren’t taught properly. This makes the next concept more difficult, and pretty soon a student can be overwhelmed. I will quickly help you get caught up, and then help you get ahead, so that your math classes will be like review sessions instead of just going through the motion.
I am an Electrical Engineer graduate from the University of Akron. I help students understand and apply the following subjects: Circuits I & II, Digital communications, Switching and Logic, Physical Electronics, Active Circuits and control systems.
I currently work at an insurance company in the IT department (12 years) as a network administrator. I work on servers as well as PC (hardware and software).
This experience has allowed me to master general computer building and repairing computers, optimizing hard drive storage, removing spyware, malware and viruses, teaching Microsoft office, correcting internet connection issues, email, etc.
In today's fast-paced society, it is critical for people to gain skills in general computer usage. The internet is an incredible source of information - information that may have once been inaccessible by some people. I love to help people take advantage of the resources provided to us by computers.
I am tutoring several students in high school and college physics. Physics can be difficult to understand, and it is easy for a student to fall behind. Once a student falls behind, it can be virtually impossible to catch up without help. If you are falling behind, I can help you catch up and learn what you need to know to pass; if you are willing to do some work, I can help you excel.
Pleased — I am pleased about the plan for my son and my son was comfortable with his approach. I am looking forward to more lessons. ...
