My name is Carreen and I have over 12 years experience as an elementary, middle and high school teacher. I hold NYS certifications in Pre K-6, French 7-12 and Students with Disabilities 1-6. I have been an inclusive teacher for a great many years, teaching children with varying exceptionalities and earned a Specialist in Special Education in 2007. I am certified in both Ontario and New York State with my PreK-6 teaching certification. I received my Ms. Ed. in Elementary Education from Niagara University in 1999 and have over 11 years teaching experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Phonics

I have been an elementary, middle and high school teacher for over 11 years, certified in PreK-6, French 7-12 and Students with Disabilities 1 - 6. I am very educated and experienced in providing phonics to all ages and ability levels.

Special Needs

I am Ontario certified as a Special Education Teacher and New York State certified as a teacher of Students with Disabilities 1 - 6. I have taught in an inclusive environment for over 7 years, teaching children with varying exceptionalities - intellectual, physical, developmental, emotional. I have experience creating and maintaining Individualized Education Plans and evaluating students who are suspected of having exceptionalities.

ESL/ESOL

I have not only been a foreign language teacher for over 11 years and am certified in French in both Ontario and the state of New York, I have also tutored ESL students to help them strengthen their writing and speaking proficiency in English.
