Hi,

I am currently a graduate student at Columbia University studying mechanical engineering. I finished my bachelor's in mechanical engineering at NYU last May.

Having taken many math classes (calculus 1 & 2, multi variable calculus, data analysis, linear algebra, differential equations), advanced writing and poetry classes, and science classes (physics 1,2, & 3) during my undergrad I can tutor college level English, math, and physics. I can also tutor any high school level classes including the sciences, math, English, social studies, etc. I have lots of experience with public speaking having been a student leader that would speak to large audiences (50-150 people) on a regular basis. I also had my share of test prep and am very knowledgeable on the study tracks that should be taken to do well on both the SATs and the GREs. I received a 2030 on a scale of 2400 on my SAT exam and a 327 on a scale of 340 on my GRE exam.

It's always important to understand the material for any class or exam. However, your studies should not end there. What many students overlook is the importance of regular practice. Practice does truly lead to perfection. I would love to help you excel in your academics by explaining the material in a easy to understand manner and also be there to aid in the implementation of it. Together we can learn and achieve anything.

Best regards,
Rohul

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I attended Brooklyn Technical High School where I graduated with an advanced Regents diploma with honors and majored in Physics there. For my undergrad I attended NYU and studied Mechanical engineering with a concentration in Aerospace. Currently I am furthering my education by getting my master's in engineering at Columbia University.

Algebra 2

I studied Algebra 1 and 2 in Brooklyn Technical High School. I received an average of 91 on the Math regents and went on to take AP Calculus AB and BC.

In my undergrad at NYU I studied Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace. The advance math courses I had to take (Calc 1&2, Multi-variable Calc, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations and Data Analysis) strengthened my understanding of fundamental algebra even more.

ESL/ESOL

English is my first language. I took several critical writing classes at NYU during my undergrad.

Mechanical Engineering

I received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYU-Poly. I graduated in May of 2013. I am currently taking graduate level mechanical engineering classes at Columbia University.

Physics

I got a 98 on the physics Regents. And went on to take AP Physics B and C.

Prealgebra

I have many years of experience with mathematics including Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trig, Precalc, Calculus 1 and 2, Multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and statistics.
