Any science, engineering or technology discipline requires a sound foundation in mathematics. I took the Integrated Algebra (formerly "Math A") Regents when I was still in middle school and scored very well. I have earned exceptional grades on the Math Regents exams, the AP Calculus Exam and SAT I Math and SAT II Math tests. I have been directly tutoring algebra for 2.5 years.
I took algebra 2 in high school, back when it was known as Math B. On the Regents exam, I scored 99% and went on to score a 760 out of 800 on the Math II Subject SAT. I can help you understand imaginary numbers, trigonometry, normal distributions, combinatorics, functions, geometry, and graphs. I been using many of the concept in algebra 2 in other courses such as circuits, electronics and physics.
I taught myself C++ before I began college. I knew that one of the courses that I would take my first semester was going to be in programming C++ and OOP so I took it upon myself to learn the material before the semester began. With some background in Java, the transition was smooth and I was able to pick up the most essential topics before I ever took the class.
From the course, I mastered basic syntax, data types, functions, the heap, and (most importantly) classes. We went in depth with inheritance, encapsulation and polymorphism. I can help you with your first steps in the language all the way to making object oriented programs and the like.
I've been immersed in Computer Engineering since High School. It's what I've wanted since I was young and I've come a long way since then.
I have a lot of experience with the many layers of a computer. From the very bottom, I've taken courses in electrical circuits, electronics, digital logic and computer architecture. I have been programming since I was in high school and have taken programming classes almost every year since then. At the moment, I know nearly a dozen different programming languages including those for applications (C++/Java) and web development (HTML/JS/PHP).

Java was the first programming language I learned back in high school. Since then, I've used it for coursework in college and at previous jobs. I have a strong foundation in object oriented programming (OOP), problem solving and data structures. In particular with Java, I understand classes, inheritance, and interfaces. I also have experience with GUI elements and database applications.
I've been working in the logic domain since I was in high school. My first exposure was when I began programming. Computer programming requires implementing an algorithm in the particular language one is programming in and this requires understanding the fundamental logic in conditional statements (if statements, while loops, etc.). I began working much more in depth in logic when I took a course in Digital Electronics where we designed digital circuits that took user input and generated an output based on complex combinational circuits. I ranked #1 consistently in the class exams and in the class overall. I am extremely well versed in Logic gates, combinational and sequential circuits.
In college, as part of my Computer Engineering required courses, I took Digital Logic. This class was an extension on the Digital Electronics course I took in High School. As part of the course, we designed a control unit and data path for a game on a chip, which required hours of simulation and logic design. I did very well on class exams and earned an A in the course. Currently, I am a tutor for Digital Logic and Computer Architecture in school and all of my students are extremely satisfied with my knowledge as well as my ability to pass that knowledge to them.
I have been using Excel extensively for the past few years and know my way around very well. On an everyday basis, I use spread sheets to keep track of my finances as well as make simple lists for projects. When I took an undergraduate Physics Laboratory course, I used MS Excel heavily to calculate figures and write up reports. I was responsible for making sure I accurately computed complex values from calculus equations, as well as making error analyses and presenting the data in aesthetically pleasing tables, charts and graphs. I've been programming in PHP since I was in high school. It is by far, my favorite language. It's not strictly typed which makes it easy to learn even for novice programmers and the syntax is fairly intuitive. What makes PHP most attractive to me is how easily it can be integrated into websites to make dynamic pages that can interact with users.
I've programmed in PHP for school like I said and also used it during my time as a programmer at the New York Stock Exchange. No other language integrates as well with MySQL as PHP does, and so I've also learned a great deal about databases through the language. I even use PHP programs for personal use such as when I want to create worksheets for tutoring students. I am familiar with syntax, variables, scope, functions, databases and AJAX. As an engineer, I have a strong foundation in mathematics up to calculus. It goes without saying that this includes a mastery of lower level math including algebra and prealgebra. I have several years of experience tutoring prealgebra with my elementary and middle school students, where I've honed my communication skills and ability to explain convoluted problems in an easy-to-understand manner. Before I went to high-school I had already taken the Algebra Regents. I have earned excellent scores on all my math Regents, AP exams and SAT math tests.
The Regents exams test a student's knowledge of concepts and applications for a course and are given for many high school subjects in New York State. Grades on these exams are an important way to show mastery of material whether it is in Math, Science or History.

SAT math covers mostly algebra and geometry problems, including some that involve logic (one of my favorite subjects). No calculus, advanced statistics or anything like that!

I've been using SQL since I first learned it in high school. I used it in my senior project to manage a database that interacted with a user to provided requested information. Later, when working at the NYSE, I used it almost everyday to write and maintain scripts that checked for database integrity and generated reports. When working at an internship at a start-up, I used SQL as one of many tools to improve the responsiveness and interactivity of the company's website.
Most recently, I took a formal course in databases at my university where we studied database design, SQL and query efficiency in detail. My final project relied heavily on SQL and was a mock social networking web application. I am familiar with integrating SQL with PHP and Java. I find databases in general to be a very interesting topic.
