My business, management, and engineering experience spans over 20 years. I am a Renewable Energy Consultant (Solar: PV, Thermal), and hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from NYU-Poly. I am a New York State Licensed Electrical Technology Instructor.
I have held numerous high level management positions held in: Electric utilities, automotive, telecommunications, and high tech security industries. In addition, I have been a Project Manager and set up production facilities in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
I have tutored students at NYU, Columbia, City College, Merchant Marine Academy, Pratt Institute, New York Institute of Technology, LaGuardia Community College (Electronics, Electrical Circuits), DeVry, FIT, and many others. I have taught at Technical Trade Schools, and have developed training materials in some of the businesses I have owned and run. I speak Spanish and some Chinese.
I love to teach and believe learning should be fun. Thus, my approach to teaching is to provide a lot of relevant examples that the student will find interesting. I like to present topics in a clear and easy to understand format. In addition, I provide exercises that build problem-solving and reasoning skills.
My objective is to make sure the student fully understands the material presented. Test taking is another area some students find stressful, so I like to provide test-taking strategies that can be used regardless of the subject matter.
