I am N.Y State licensed and certified as an elementary teacher (K-6) and have extensive experience in teaching adults English as a Second Language. I am bilingual in Spanish and have outstanding recommendations in both areas. I also have been giving piano lessons for over 20 years privately. I teach all levels beginners to advanced and can give lessons in my home.

I am very patient and understanding given my over 15 years in elementary education. It is very rewarding for me to tutor one to one and see the progress that my students make. I have 2 children and tutor them as well. I also have experience in teaching special needs children, specifically high-functioning autistic young adults.

Grammar

Grammar tutoring would focus on the tenses and their usage, active and passive voices, irregular verbs, some spelling and punctuation.

It could include grammar in writing and/or oral usage based on your needs.

ESL/ESOL

I have extensive experience in teaching communication, grammar, reading/writing, listening and pronunciation to English as a Second Language students. I also taught GED and TOEFL preparation classes as well as tutoring.

I love teaching ESL to students of all levels and ages.

Elementary Science

I have taught 6 grade science as well as Grades K, 1, 2, and 3rd grade science according to the NY State curriculum and standards.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a NY State certified and licensed teacher N-6. I often taught lessons at Hemlock School in Garden City. I was very active in the Garden City PTA. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades. I was a tenured teacher in the Island Park Schools. I have taught for almost 20 years. I now live in Williston Park and have 2 children.

I worked in the enrichment program at the Long Island Conservatory of Music, Willis Avenue, Albertson.

I have been teaching piano to all levels for over 15 years. I am a NY State certified and licensed teacher. I am patient and caring. I live in Williston Park and have two young children of my own. I can provide references upon request.

I instruct piano using scales, exercises, classical as well as popular music. I have prepared students for the NYSSMA competition in the spring.
