I'm a college student from Cornell home for the summer willing to help you out in any subject you might need help with! I have worked as an SAT coach both in high school and college, as well as tutored for several years for Regents exams as well as on a weekly basis. I strongly believe that tutoring should continue over the summers in between school years, because if you don't use your knowledge that you have gained, you'll lose it. If you don't use it, you lose it! My favorite subjects are math and science, but I have tutored extensively in various subjects. I also think that learning should and can be fun! If a student is willing to come to tutoring outside of school hours, they are obviously a motivated and determined student, and I will reward that with engaging and informational games and activities. In my spare time, I love playing and watching sports, especially baseball and softball. I have been playing the cello and the violin for almost ten years.
My experience as a tutor started as a peer tutor in high school, and I eventually expanded my network of students to include several high schools around my hometown. I tutored for four years in high school, and I started my SAT tutoring as a senior in high school. At Cornell, I was accepted as a tutor in the Let's Get Ready SAT prep program that also included college counseling.
