Learning can be an exciting journey into new worlds and success in the world. Human imagination and ability to think is a beautiful and fun gift that is available to everyone. Sometimes you may need help to learn how to experience this, particularly with subjects that seem difficult. Once you begin to experience the thrill of mastering something that seemed hard, you may become hooked on learning. Often the key is that subjects need to be broken down into very bite size pieces.
I am a successful test taker, beginning in my high school years with SAT's over 1300, high ACT scores, successful Regents exams, passing the CPA exam on the first sitting (only 10% who sit have achieved this), passing series 6, 7, and 63, and 65 on first sitting, and insurance exams. I know that half of successful test-taking involves strategy and becoming very familiar with the test itself, and the other half involves reading, problem solving skills, and adequate knowledge. I have never memorized anything to successfully take tests.
Discovering a student's best learning methods and how to use their strengths and even turn their weaknesses into strengths is part of the process. My background as a CPA, as a life coach, and as a counselor all contribute to my understanding and knowledge. I am encouraging, energizing, and original.
