My motto is "Learning must be fun and anyone can learn!" My 13 years as a New York City middle school teacher, predominantly in science, and my current position as a college professor in White Plains have equipped me with the skills needed to teach the most challenging student. I'm thorough, patient and determined. I don't like to feel like I didn't do something well, so I make it my mission to find ways to reach each student. My students, both young and old, have found my style of teaching as a facilitator (student-centered) and at times entertaining (I'm still trying to find out if their laughter is at me or with me, but I really don't care either way, as long as the end result is that they learned!). My record speaks for itself: my middle school students tried every year to get into my science class and my homeroom (safe to say, that's a big deal since teenagers are allergic to adults), and my college students actually take classes just because I'm teaching it, despite my requiring much work from them.
