I am employed through Ramapo Central School District and I am assigned to several different grades each year. My main emphasis is working within the literacy programs and mathematics with all elementary ages. I have 11 years experience working with students in an elementary environment, including working with a diverse spectrum of special need students. I have previous experience tutoring mathematics from elementary level students through college students and had in the past worked with statistical analysis with doctorate level candidates. There is nothing more satisfying then to see a child not only master a skill, but to see the smile of accomplishment on their face. Elementary Math

For the past 11 years I have been employed as an teacher's aid in an elementary environment. I have worked with all grade levels except 4th covering all literacy and math programs. I also have a strong math background. My previous experience includes tutoring college level students in math and doctorate level candidates in statistics.

Elementary (K-6th)

For the past 11 years I have worked in all grades from K-5, except 4th grade. I have experience in Reading writing, literacy, math and science in all those grades. I have worked both one on one and with the entire class.

Phonics

With my 11 years of experience working with k-2nd grade literacy program, I feel that I would qualify for a phonics certification. My skills include alphabet sounds, practicing beginning and ending sounds, family groups, and strategies used to teach phonics. My responsibilities for the past 10 years with first graders included reading books from level 1-level 20 every day with ~20 students reinforcing many phases of phonics.

ADD/ADHD

I have worked for the past 11 years in an Elementary school focusing on the literacy and Math program with grade levels K-5. I have had the opportunity to work with several children with ADD/ADHD over the years as well as other learning and emotional disorders. My strongest attribute in educating children is my patience.
