My name is Shraddha and I am a graduate student at Stony Brook University enrolled in the doctorate of Physical therapy Program. I also did my undergraduate at Stony Brook University; biology major and Studio arts minor. i have always been passionate about arts and teaching. I had an opportunity to do four art shows last year and also sold some of my art work. I have been tutoring for 5 years now. I volunteered to be a math tutor in 12th grade in high school. And since then my interest in teaching has grown. In my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook, I started tutoring since freshmen year and continued until I graduated in May 2011, in subjects such as general biology and general chemistry. In addition, I was a lab technician thus I also had an opportunity to tutor general chemistry lab and help the student with their lab journals and experiments. I have always loved teaching and I am very patient with the students. The students have always given me positive response and I always take constructive criticisms from students if they feel like they want to learn things in a different way. Since I have been tutoring for 5 years now, I have created and learned so many new techniques that will best help the student. Also, each student has their own capabilities and they have their own speed of learning so I am also skilled at recognizing the student's capability and I work accordingly. I always had fun tutoring and I use such tutoring techniques that keeps the student awake and lively.
