My experiences in tutoring started in 1997 when I became a foster mother working within the foster care system on Staten Island, New York. My passions and mission developed through the years with great rewards in my heart to see the children excel in their studies. Becoming a surrogate parent using my voice in the education matrix in schools helped the children in my care. This view of what I accomplished to give the education sector in schools insight into the children's needs, worked wonders toward their excellence, in grades. My education background includes, AA Psychology, BS Business Management/Human Services, MS Criminal Justice Administration/Security, Passed New York State Test for Child Protective Specialist, Diploma in Social Work, 270 hours classes- childhood/neglect/abuse/behavior/mental health issues/and more, Champion Learning Center Tutor (reading, writing, grammar elementary education), Math K-4th. Criminal Background Check Clearance and fingerprints. Tutoring on Staten Island only.
My degree work in Psychology and social work helps tremendously to help me find each child's learning style.
Currently I am finishing my master program in education and will continue to receive a PhD., in education.
I am also a published writer with two books on the market and more on the way. Reading and writing are so much fun and passionate for me. This will give me the edge to make the lessons productive and fun to learn.
