I have been teaching for 11 years. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and I am a certified teacher.
I want to help my students succeed. I appeal to all learning styles such as visual, auditory, etc. I have a variety of teaching methods that I incorporate when tutoring. I exhibit creativity and patience. If a concept is not understood, I will work to have it taught in a different manner or re-explain the concept many times if needed.
I feel note-taking, organization, and study skills are of utmost importance. I also feel practice is essential.
I am a firm believer in repetition as well.
I also use manipulatives when tutoring for example in math.
I enjoy teaching and seeing my students learn/be successful.
I want the STUDENT to do the work for themselves.
Effort is one of the most important character traits for me in a student.
I am dedicated, resourceful, creative, friendly, and patient, and like to promote self-esteem and confidence.
