I started publishing my drawings since high school as an editorial cartoonist, which I continued throughout college. Originally, I began drawing by hand with pen and ink, but grew to incorporate Adobe Photoshop, which I use almost thoroughly today. My experience also includes using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, both of which I use almost on a regular basis for logo designs and postcard and signage layouts.
In regards to teaching, I wish to learn about your needs first. From there, I work on a projects-based method, that way it is more hands on, that incorporates what the student desires to learn and also that way I can act as a guiding hand.
I have been there before: the Adobe Suite is a very intimidating array of programs. But projects are the best way to attack such things without being bogged down in tools you may never use again. If you would like to set up repeat sessions, I will be happy to prepare a syllabus according to however long you intend to have me help.
Here are common examples of what I can teach with these programs
2. Photo retouching and manipulation
3. Digital collage
4. Word illustration
1. Logo Design
1. Page Layout
3. Postcard design
