I'm a graduate of RPI with a degree in Biochemistry/Biophysics. I have strong interest in public health and public policy. I am enrolled for my Masters in Public Health at SUNY Albany online after recently moving to Rochester.
My strengths are in the physical sciences and math, but my English skills are also very strong. I have two years of substitute teaching experience, grades K-12, including long term placements in math, particularly algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. I have been tutoring in the sciences and math for 10 years now, with very positive results. I also have considerable experience taking and tutoring standardized tests.
I scored 780 Math and 760 Verbal on the old SATs and have successfully tutored half a dozen students on the new test. I also scored a 40 on the MCATs and helped several college students prepare for their test. Additionally, I have extensive instructional experience as a leader in the Boy Scouts, both as a unit leader and as a summer camp counselor for 8 years.
