Middle school and high school students work with me closely and receive help in the grammar, pronunciation, oral and written fluency they need to work on. My students almost always improve and pass their exams.

Adult students can discuss with me their particular area of interest in terms of learning a language. Together, we create a program that fits their needs and interests.

After a few sessions, the students who need help with writing essays or creative paragraphs in English find out that they are able to do so by themselves.

Grammar

Learning grammar allows a student to become more proficient in expressing his/her thoughts clearly. Writing a grammatically correct sentence makes a positive impression on the reader when you apply for a position, when you write an essay to be accepted in school and when you want to be convincing in a debate.

French

Mastering a foreign language opens the door to a different culture. When we travel we can communicate and appreciate better the way other people live. When we read history, literature, newspaper articles, we are transported into a world which we can better understand in its original language.

Spanish

Mastering a foreign language opens the doors to a different culture. It allows the traveler to communicate with the local people, understand and enjoy their customs. When reading literature, it allows the reader to travel to a country still unknown or to re experience travels of the past. Reading literature in its original language enhances the pleasure the reader experiences.

Literature

The reading of literature offers a vast array of pleasures. It can appeal to our imagination. It can inform. It helps clarify the complexities of our lives. The characters live in our heads and in our hearts. We love and respect them, we dislike and despise them, we feel for them, we root for them, we live with them. They transport us in worlds unknown. They make us understand our human condition. They survive the span of time.

Proofreading

A small mistake in an exposé or in an article we wish to write can make a bad impression on certain readers, or can alter the meaning of the ideas we want to impart. If your writing is important to you, you need to have it proofread by an expert, no matter how good you are. We all make mistakes when we write and we get so absorbed in our thoughts that often we do not see them.
