Hello, students and parents.
After 7 years of successfully tutoring and teaching foreign language to grades 6-12 in Nassau County, I look forward to helping you enjoy your studies and achieve your personal best in French or Spanish. Whether your difficulties are passing tests, getting those A's, preparing for a big presentation or understanding how other cultures and their languages are relevant to you, please contact me for help. I have administered and graded the examinations that you must pass, and I know what students need to know in order to pass them. I love music videos and visuals; do you like to make videos? Write and perform songs? Draw? Cook? Tell jokes? Do you just need to know how to read a train schedule and order a meal? Expect to incorporate them into your learning. Foreign language is interactive and my goal for us is to help you be able to use it and excel at your learning level.

French

My middle and high school students have done extremely well on the Grand Concours, the National French Exam, as well as on the French Proficiency and Regents examinations. I have taught French beginner through college level and have recently taken three French Master's level literature classes. I love this language and it's amazing contributions to modern literature and political thought.

Spanish

In summer 2011 I spent a month studying at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid which was a fascinating experience. Who knew that Spain has such a varied climate? And the food! And the fashion! And the people...And the real flamenco... What's not to like? Learn Spanish to go there and be amazed.
