I have been teaching for 14 years in Rochester, NY. I am a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. I work as an elementary school (pre-k through 6th grade) speech-language therapist/teacher. My content and specialty area is language and speech acquisition and development. The majority of the students I teach have special needs and we focus on reading comprehension, reading fluency, vocabulary development, grammar, over-all writing skills, spelling and decoding (phonics), and articulation skills for speaking and overall communication development. I have experience teaching and tutoring a variety of different learning styles and personalities. I pride myself with my creative and hands-on approach to learning. On a personal note, I am married for 16 years and my husband and I have two lovely daughters, ages 10 and 6. My hobby is running and I also teach a group fitness class at the YMCA.
