One-to-one tutoring with an experienced tutor is the best way to learn Spanish; that's why I am here.
Learning a language for me is a wonderful journey, and I am committed to going through it in the most interesting ways.
I focus on helping to improve a student's confidence, helping him or her to find my Spanish language journey satisfying and rewarding.
The range of classes I offer includes public speaking, customer care, holidays, meetings, negotiations, telephone conversations, and interviews. I can tailor each of my classes to the particular needs of my clients.
My course is based on the communicative method with a particular focus on the oral practice. The grammar I teach is immediately contextualized in the conversation. The student learns how to communicate on important topics through a series of fun exercises and active interactions.
My Spanish lessons are dynamic, so from the first day my student and I will talk in Spanish all the time. We will work as a team to achieve success, and I know my students will speak, read and write Spanish correctly.
You can feel confident that I am qualified to help you achieve your goals. I am comfortable teaching both children and adults how to communicate effectively in Spanish.
Also, I am preparing students for their AP Spanish test.
I'm a professional Spanish teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching in high school in my country, Colombia. I was born in Colombia, and my native language is Spanish.
For more than 25 years, I have helped children of all ages, as well as adults, learn or improve their communication and academic skills.
I also teach executives who travel abroad, and need to be able to communicate.
I moved to the United States nine years ago to teach Spanish at the middle and high school levels, as well as for adults. In addition, I teach help/study skills related to Spanish homework.
I earned my degree in five years in Colombia. I have a bachelor's degree in foreign languages (English and Spanish) at Santiago de Cali University, and a science degree in special education for literature and Spanish from the same university.
I am certified in the Spanish language. The U.S. equivalency of my university education, as determined by the regionally accredited institution World Education Services (WES), is a bachelor's degree in foreign languages (English/Spanish).
During the last 9 years I taught Spanish in New York. I moved to Benton, Arkansas in July 2012, and I am excited about having the opportunity to continue teaching my wonderful Spanish language to people living in my new home state.
