I have almost 10 years college teaching experience as an adjunct professor for the city and state universities of New York and Long Island University. Please check out my WyzAnt blog (click the "Resources" tab, above) for a sample physics lesson. In addition, I am a representative to the public for NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and a guest scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory. My fields of expertise are astrophysics, physics, astronomy and information technology. Additionally, I am certified to teach all of the natural sciences including Earth science, geology, environmental science and biology and all levels of mathematics up to and including calculus.
I have a life-long passion for astronomy, physics, mathematics and the natural sciences and want nothing more than to share that passion with the young, fertile minds so eager to learn and grow.

Tutoring Philosophy & Approach:
Using a variety of methods that include diagrams, images, multi-media and real-life experiences, I try to develop each student’s innate abilities using a conceptual approach to problem solving, allowing them to internalize the material on their own. This approach provides the basis for an authentic and long-lasting understanding and provides the basis for new insights and independent discovery. In short, I make learning fun and enjoyable and something the student looks forward to.
1. Results oriented with demonstrable improvement in higher test scores and passing courses
2. Develop an individual style and rapport with each student, engendering confidence and reliability with an eye towards completeness
3. Focus on the of understanding concepts and the development of problem solving skills rather than memorization
4. Excellent communication and writing skills
