I have more than 23 years of aggregate experience in public education, computer support, interpretation and translation in a range of fields including English, ESL, Mandarin Chinese and math for grades K - 12, general computers and Microsoft Office, classical music, etc. I've also served as a resource for parents, colleagues and administrators in the identification of gifts, program placement and promotion and all my students in the past have been performing well in regular, accelerated and competitive programs school, city and state wide, e.g., Gericho High School, Hunter College High School, and Bronx High School of Science.
I studied engineering, English Language and Literature and French in college and have been called a true bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese by many of my revered mentors, clients and friends here in the U.S. Also to my credit is the many awards I've won when I was a student and an extensive collections of letters of commendations and recommendations, especially by a number of leading figures such as Sir Michael Tippett, Maurice Gendron, Joseph Bloch, Rudolf Firkusny, Stephen D. Krashen, Samuel Pickering, and Joseph Renzulli, to name a few.
I'm currently on assignment with children for major academic subjects in grades 2-5, 10 and 12 in a number of capacities outside WyzAnt and have a couple of openings to fill. My most recent work was in test preparation for the 2012 New York State English Language Arts and Math Tests and Reading/Writing and Math enrichment where I have consistently earned exemplary ratings from my students and parents with continued assignment based on their requests. I'm scheduled to teach the 2013 NYS ELA and Math test prep. in March.
