I am proficient in the most widespread, industry-standard software, particularly Adobe PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR, and INDESIGN. That's not just theory. I know these programs because I use them on a daily basis for my work. My skill-sets range from photo retouching to vector graphics, from banners to logo design, from brochures to website layouts, from books to album covers. Proven, real-world experience allows me to cover every aspect of the design process thoroughly. I don't simply teach how to use software, I demonstrate how to transform software in a valuable professional asset.

From sketching a concept to the final deliverable, I address and focus on every single step of the creative process.
I also offer PORTFOLIO EVALUATION and IMPROVEMENT.
IF YOU ARE A STUDENT
Thanks to the work done together, I have seen many students succeeding in their study programs. But my skills deliver more than solutions for college classes. The design experience acquired working for clients in UK, US, and ITALY translates in precious, practical tips that help students landing a future job position in the field. The design industry is very competitive in this city. Don't choose a tutor with the only goal of passing a class. Look at the big picture. You need to be job-ready when you graduate. I can give you the tools you need to actually work in the design field. That's a surplus that could make the difference in your life.

Adobe Illustrator has been my primary design tool for over ten years, because vector elements offer an incomparable flexibility when it comes to developing concepts.
I have used Illustrator in countless projects, including logos, posters, illustrations, website mock-ups, banners, and book covers.
Throughout the years I have acquired proficiency in creating and manipulating complex vector objects, as well as in advanced coloring techniques.
I taught Adobe Illustrator during my tutoring activity at CUNY (City University of New York).
I have used InDesign since 2008 for nearly every type of print design project: book covers and layouts; brochures; posters; CD covers and booklets; collateral and stationery products; postcards; flyers.
I am well familiar with the typographic features built in the software, as well as the CMYK color management and pre-press options.

I am a long-time Adobe Photoshop user, as I have been working on it since the end of the 90’s.
I primarily use Photoshop as a photo editor tool, especially for picture retouching and color/contrast correction of my commercial and personal photo-shoots.
In particular cases, I use this software for web design layouts, stationery mock-ups, and graphic design works.

I have been using Dreamweaver since 2002, at the time when this software was a Macromedia product and the most widespread editor in the industry.
Although I prefer hand-coding HTML5 and CSS3, I find very convenient using some of Dreamweaver's built-in features. More recent versions of the software integrate an interesting platform for developing websites for mobile devices. As an FTP client, Dreamweaver includes many useful functions that help coders optimize development time.

I have followed the evolution of HTML during the last 12 years, from HTML4 to XHTML.
Today I exclusively work with HTML5 because I embraced design for mobile devices.
I am proficient in CSS3 as well. This language is key to the development of websites that are aesthetically pleasing and functional at the same time.
I am an Italian native speaker.
As a graphic designer (and a former musical-arrangement editor) I found in the Mac systems the ideal ecosystem to develop my digital creativity. During the past 10 years I have worked on nearly any kind of Apple machine, from several iMac versions to new and old Mac Book laptops, and Mac Pros. My knowledge of the Apple products and their operative systems now extend to portable devices such as iPods, iPhones, and iPads. I can efficiently operate on different versions of OSX and IOS.
Microsoft Word is an important part of my creative process. It's the tool that helps me gather ideas and develop concepts before moving to the drawing board or the design software.
I have been using Word for many years now, going from the early 1990's versions to the 2013 edition. I make use of many basic and advanced features such as Working with Templates, Using Document-wide Settings, Document Navigation, Page Layout Options, Tables, Images Management, Document Revisions, Paragraphs Formatting, Content Flow Management, Watermarks, Video Management, References, Table of Contents, Document Protection, and Document Printing Management.
