I’m a recent graduate of Baruch College’s Actuarial Science program. I completed their Dean’s Honor Program. My cumulative GPA is a 3.5. I obtained a double minor in Communication Studies and Economics at Baruch College. In high school, I graduated in the top 10% of my class, was a member of the National Honor Society, and scored a 790 on the Math section of the SAT. My specialty for tutoring is in the Actuarial field, including Probability (Exam 1) and Financial Mathematics (Exam 2). I have a passion for helping others and enjoying helping others pass exams. I have mentored several actuarial students at Baruch College.

I’m capable of tutoring in Probability and Financial Mathematics, and Models for Financial Economics. I’m also capable in tutoring in areas including: Micro and Macro Economics, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Algebra.

I had a great deal of working with a math tutor at a young age, as my father was a math tutor. All of these one-on-one lessons gave me insights on how to be an effective tutor. I’ve been tutoring since 5th grade, when I was assigned to help people struggling in math. I have since continued tutoring through high school and college.

I’m flexible with hours and locations. I’m known for my punctuality and am never late. I have excellent oral communication skills. I’m highly organized with my own work and can help other students maintain a study schedule.

Please notify me in advance on specifics of what topics you need help with so I can brush up on any material and ensure we get the most out of any session.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
