Kenny scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT
. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Vanderbilt University, he has over 10,000 hours of test prep experience (at age 10, he began preparing for the SHSAT and SAT exams).
Having received almost seven years of continuous of tutoring for these exams, Kenny has significant experience on both sides of the table. He knows which tutoring strategies work and which just create busywork.
Since Kenny began tutoring four years ago, he has worked with students ranging from the elementary through high school level.
During his free time, he studies educational psychology
to continuously refine his teaching methods. By applying the latest research, he equips his students with the study skills
they need to excel
beyond their peers.
To maximize the effectiveness of his tutoring and the individual attention he can provide, he limits himself to 7 students a week. (As of December 20, he meets regularly with 6 students.)
Kenny has a patient and creative approach to tutoring. He helps students identify their weaknesses and works to help them improve their knowledge and skills. He tries to make each lesson dynamic, engaging, and enjoyable. He is committed to helping his students improve, and is always easy to reach by phone or by email
with any questions that pop up in between lessons.

A: Effective test preparation
can result in a huge payoff: the most selective universities also award the largest financial aid packages (up to $220,000 over a period of 4 years). However, admittance requires near perfect scores on standardized tests along with a high GPA, a record of leadership/extracurricular activities, positive teacher recommendations, and an excellent college application essay
Q: Where do you meet students?
A: Usually, in-home or in a public location (e.g. public library, cafes). I'm also certified by WyzAnt for online tutoring.
Q: When are you available?
A: As of December 20, generally any Sunday through Friday between 2 PM to 6 PM.
