I am a Princeton educated tutor, and recently left Wall Street, where I was a top-ranked research analyst. During my four years of university, I was a private tutor for students on campus--teaching math and English--and also acted as a study aid in my freshman and sophomore years to assist other students in classes I had already taken and received high grades in (economics; math).

In my work with students, I start by assessing the students level of knowledge; areas and strength and weakness. Then, I create a customized study plan based on that students assessment and unique goals. Sessions are focused on problem solving; teaching new concepts or reviewing/understanding problem areas.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

Hi, I've spent the past 5 years working on Wall Street as a publishing research analyst. To do this, I have to understand macroeconomics; the fundamentals of company structures and operations and make judgments on whether or not businesses--debt and equity are fairly valued. I've also recently started my own small business. I have a minor in finance and economics from Princeton University and have taken the first two levels of the CFA exam.

Economics

I've previously tutored microeconomics at Princeton, after I received top scores in classes.

Fitness

Hello, I am a registered yoga instructor and have taught at prominent yoga studios in New York City for the past two years. I also am a certified holistic nutritionist. In college, I was a Division 1 track and field athlete. I currently coach individuals on holistic forms of health; fitness and weight loss.

Geometry

I tutored a 7th grader while at Princeton, helping her achieve top marks.

Public Speaking

Hi, I've spent the past 5 years working on Wall Street as a publishing research analyst. In my time as a research analyst, I've presented my reports to internal sales staff; external clients and the press. I've also recently started my own small business and have had to engage in extended fundraising meetings, where I have had to present my business to large groups of potential investors. I've also sat on business school panels, including most recently at Columbia, where I spoke on entrepreneurship.

Series 63

I was a research analyst on Wall Street for 5 years and in order to write research reports, I had to pass the series 7 and 63. I've helped my junior analysts and colleagues study and pass both the exams.

Track & Field

In college, I was a Division 1 track and field athlete, competing in long and triple jump and sprints. I currently coach individuals on holistic forms of health, fitness and weight loss, and am a registered yoga teacher.

Yoga

I am a registered vinyasa yoga instructor: I studied at two of New York's top yoga institutions, and have apprenticed under three of the city's most famous instructors. I have taught at prominent yoga studios in New York City for the past two years; and have also taught private lessons in New York City; the Hamptons and Fire Island.
