I am a management consultant at a Big 4 firm, as well as a a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and NYU's Stern School of Business. I have over five years of teaching experience with students of all different age groups and academic needs. In addition to offering private tutoring, I have worked as an SHSAT/SAT test preparation teacher at Ivy Bound Test Preparation from sophomore year of high school through college. Most recently, I was one of a few select students invited to attend final-round interviews with Teach for America without having to go through the preliminary phone interviews and screenings (I turned down the interview in favor of a management consulting job offer).

I am a firm believer in the value of rigorous practice in achieving academic success. Conceptual understanding, while vitally important, can only get you so far in our standardized test-focused educational system. There are no nuances or surprises in standardized exams: every question is very basic in nature can be easily anticipated and prepared for. This applies to school tests and, even more so, to exams such as the SAT.

In accordance with this philosophy, I usually assign my students anywhere from 2-4 hours of homework to be completed prior to every lesson, and spend the majority of class time going over the assignments and examining errors. I also periodically make use of pop quizzes to track my students' progress and diligence, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. This is an exhaustively tested method which has worked wonders for dozens of my students and is guaranteed to work for you as well. Using these methods in my own preparation, I managed to drastically increase my test scores, receiving a 645 on the SHSAT exam and a 2340 on the SAT exam.
