Greetings,

My name is Eric. I’m a professional educator by day and sports-lover/musician/science aficionado/thinker by night. I am the current Education Director at a sport-for-development non-profit. I help coordinate and provide education support for our players ages 10-19. Before that, I spent a year in South Africa working with local leaders to deliver a soccer-based HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum. I also taught high school biology and chemistry in East Los Angeles.

I hold a BS from the University of Notre Dame, and an MA in secondary education from Loyola Marymount University. I cleared my professional credential in California in 2011 in chemistry. I have also passed the biology and general science teaching exams for the state of California.

I absolutely love working with students in a tutoring setting. I enjoy deconstructing information then reconstructing it with students. I believe the learner should be doing most of the heavy lifting; the tutor should be a facilitator of learning.

I look forward to working with you!

Eric

Great Tutor — Eric is very patient and seems to be doing a great job. He's also a very nice guy and he's been very dependable. It's still too soon to tell if my daughter's grades will improve dramatically, but I intend to stick with him. ...
