Hello. I am looking forward to working with you and improving your English skills.

I have taught English in both classroom settings as well as one-on-one and much prefer working with people individually as it affords the ability to tailor instruction to a student's individual need. My philosophy is to first determine the student's skill level and their language goals and expectations. I believe it is crucial to be sensitive to students' learning styles to foster a comfortable learning environment.

I have a CELTA ESL certification. I graduated magna cum laude from Hunter College with a degree in Elementary Education and English Language Arts. I currently facilitate English conversation, in a small group setting, at the Riverside Language ESL program. I have also taught English at Pace University and Embassy CES. Several years ago, I lived in Slovakia for the summer and taught English to high school teachers.
