Hi,
I got my Bachelor's of Art in English from Ithaca College in 2000. After I graduated, I moved overseas. I taught English in France, Egypt and South Korea. I lived in France for a year, in Egypt for a year, and in South Korea for four and a half years. I have a lot of experience with many different types of cultures.

In France, I taught high school students English and American history. In Cairo, I taught pre-kindergarteners the basics of English and math. But really, I got most of my experience in South Korea, teaching to many different age groups, from 3 to 18. I had to teach arts and crafts, math, basic science and English to my kindergarten class. We also had plays and songs that they had to perform for their parents for graduation. No small task, I can assure you. As a teacher you have to be enthusiastic, creative and engaging. Young children get bored very easily and they will lose focus if you don't keep them entertained.

My approach to teaching is this: keep the student interested. If you aren't interested, you aren't going to want to learn.

Note about locations: I live in Washington Heights/Inwood, but I work in Midtown. I prefer to stick close to these 2 areas (10040 and 10020).
