I have been a tutor for the past three years in various subjects such as math, CS, EE, etc. I have had a high success rate with many undergraduate students and high school students. Many students have had a great time in lecture since I try to connect the material to everyday ideas. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Polytechnic Institute of New York University in Electrical Engineering and tutor undergrads and graduate students in various topics.
I have been a math tutor for the past year and a half for Differential Equations. Most of the kids would score within A- to an A in their exams after working with me before the exam. It is from my experience that most students find differential equations simple after working with me since I am able to show them how differential equations are used on a daily basis without us even realizing it.
Electrical Engineering is my major. I have scored an average of 3.9 in all of my EE courses. I have taught multiple circuits and signals classes. I will be the TA for the signals course starting fall 2013 and I have previously given help to many of my colleagues who have had troubles with their EE career.
Hebrew has been my native language and I have spoken it since I was born. I have taught many American Jewish individuals how to speak Hebrew and have had a high success with most of them. I have been a math tutor for the past 2 years for Linear Algebra. Most of the kids would score within B+ to an A in their exams after working with me before the exam. It is from my experience that most students find some of the theoretical part of linear algebra difficult, however, I am able to make it understandable by using simple examples from real life. I am currently taking a graduate linear algebra course which I'm the top student in.
I have been a MATLAB tutor since the Fall of 2011. I have taken the college course and got an A in it. Since then I have been working daily with MATLAB in tutoring and research. I have given exam preparation and homework help for students. My teaching methods involve a lot of examples and practice questions that from my experience help students understand the material much better. I have had over 100 students in the past two years and the average grade for the college class has been an A- so far.
I have been a poker player for over seven years. I have been playing online and with friends. I have acquired all possible skills needed and know the game very well. In addition I have taught many people before how to play and what are the rules. That way I made many of them great poker players. I usually start from the basics of the game and then explain different techniques. Most of the time the teaching has to do with a lot of practicing.
