I am an artist; a "poet" of the paint brush, the "pen" and the strings...although I am not a performer, I am a composer and creator. I graduated from FIU but I studied in various universities around Central America and the Caribbean. I, being a Spaniard, have native fluency and proficiency in Spanish. I have traveled extensively and still do, always expanding my knowledge base and feeding my hunger for adventure. I served in the Army and retired after 30 years with the police department. I still serve our military as a volunteer. My music, improvisational jazz, art and blogs can be accessible upon request.
Graduated with a BA from FIU with a strong minor in Dance/Theatre. Studied classical ballet with: Martha Mahr School, Coral Gables; Ballet Etudes, Hialeah; Ballet Concerto, Miami and was a founding member of the FIU Dance Ensemble. Performed in performances at the University Theatre in 1980 and 1981. Performed in Don Quixote with Ballet Concerto. Studied wit Fusion Dance Company, Miami and the Hartford Ballet.
I am a graduate of FIU with a strong minor in arts and theatre. I took several drawing classes as well but I entered the professional field as an artist in 2003 when my paintings sold at a recognized gallery in Istanbul, Turkey. Since then I have exhibited in Spain, New York, Florida and in Miami in several shows, art fairs and galleries.
I am self-taught since 1969, but have played professionally as well as having done much studio work with my group AJA (Abstract Jazz Arrangement).
I am a professional artist having exhibited and sold to pirate collections and galleries in Europe, (Spain); Asia, (Turkey) and North America, (New York, Florida).
I have been writing professionally for more than twenty years as a self-taught musician and songwriter. I studied at Gotham City Academy in New York, (Songwriting). I wrote the music for two professional musical theatre productions in Miami.
I graduated from FIU with a BA in Liberal Studies but my original coursework and trajectory was in Theatre and Dance. I have many credits in both disciplines converting them into a strong minor. I also did professional theatre in Miami within the Cuban theatre community. I wrote and did the musical direction for "Alas" (1993) the first professional and artistic representation of the "Pedro Pan" operation which assisted with the exodus of minors from Cuba and relocating them in the US. In 1997 I wrote, starred and did the music direction and composition for "El Bolerísta" which became my second professionally produced musical theatre work in Miami.
