I have been a professional tutor for the last 12 years. I have tutored all ages from 3rd grade to college. I've worked on all subjects and have excellent recommendations. I started with a major test prep company, and have experience in the following tests: SAT I (math, reading, and writing), ACT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT Verbal, LSAT, SSAT, SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT, and SAT Subject Tests and AP Tests (Math level 1 and 2, World History, US History, and Government). I have tutored students through academic course work including Pre-Cal, AP US Gov, Basic, Advanced, and Scholastic Essay Writing, Basic Reading and Vocabulary Skills for Elementary Students, College level Statistics, and many more. I have also done college counseling (at both the high school and college level) - helping students get into the schools of their dreams. Basically, in my time working with students, I have become a jack of all trades, and I love it!

I succeed as a tutor because I have a great rapport with students of all ages. I am high energy, and do not believe that tutor has to be boring to work. In fact, the more fun for them, the more likely my students are to do what I am asking of them. Over my last 12 years, I have developed specific techniques to work with students with learning disabilities and low grade testing anxiety.

My high success rates include an LSAT student that I took from a 150 starting score to a 173 ending, and while that 20 point increase was outstanding, my LSAT students normally see an increase of 7-12 points. My standard SAT score raise is 200 points. My high school bound students have gotten into Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, and Brooklyn Tech. And my college students have gotten into U Michigan, Case Western, UCSD, NYU, and many others.

In short, I am just who you are looking for!

As for myself, I have a BA in Theatre, a BA in Psychology, and an MA in Shakespeare.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

College Counseling

I worked for the Princeton Review for 12 years doing SAT Prep and College Counseling. I have helped numerous students get into the college of their dreams. Last year alone, my students got into Drexel, USSD, and University of Miami.
