I was born in Europe and have lived in Spain, the UK and France prior to moving to the US (San Francisco and NY). I grew up speaking several languages. Although I have an MBA and worked in business for a few years, I eventually changed careers to pursue teaching, my true passion.
As a certified teacher in several states, I have taught various subjects in the public, charter and private school arena to elementary through high school, so I am familiar with the curricula in all disciplines through 5th grade, teach languages including Engilsh/ESL and tutor for some standardized tests. I am currently finishing a PhD in languages/linguistics. I fully understand the needs of students and generally when I tutor, my students make significant progress. I have coached all age groups (as young as Pre-K to senior executives) with many different levels. I am looking forward to working with you.
I have taught elementary school and kindergarten for over 10 years in 3 different states, so I know the curriculum well. Over the past few years, I have also tutored kids ages 4-12 in many subjects and prepared them for standardized tests, such as the ERB or ELA, with considerable success.
