I studied art at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media (often digitally drawing) and Illustration (commercial drawing) while minoring in Fine Art/Studio Practice (emphasizing Fine Art Drawing/figure drawing). I am a practicing artist. I taught art at a World Bank Secondary School in Mozambique.

I worked as a post-production assistant for a Photographer from 2005 to 2007, where I operated MAC OS X. I taught Adobe Photoshop to elementary and middle school students at NEST+m in the Lower East Side from 2010 to 2011, using MAC OS X. I am a working artist that has operated Macintosh computers for over a decade.

Painting

I studied art at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media (often digitally drawing) and Illustration (commercial painting) while minoring in Fine Art/Studio Practice (taking additional courses such as figurative painting, abstract painting, and still-life painting). I am a practicing artist. I taught art at a World Bank Secondary School in Mozambique.

Portuguese

I learned Portuguese through a training program sponsored by the United States Peace Corps. I lived in Mozambique from 2007 to 2009, where the national language is Portuguese. I communicated principally using Portuguese in Mozambique, professionally and socially. I taught Visual Arts in Portuguese. I continue to work professionally in Portuguese, as an art assistant and producer for artist Geraldo Zamproni.

Video Production

I studied art at Kendall College of Art and Design, majoring in Digital Media (learning Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack, Adobe AfterEffects as well as animation software, such as Adobe Flash and Cinema 4D) and Illustration (commercial arts) while minoring in Fine Art/Studio Practice (often making video art). I am a practicing artist. I taught art at a World Bank Secondary School in Mozambique. Additionally, I worked as a post-production assistant to photography, Daniel Terpstra, where I often edited video and photography.

I hold a BFA in Digital Media, emphasizing web design practices.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
