Hi. I am an expert teacher in both philosophy and psychology. I have taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology, and I have an excellent educational background in philosophy, having earned my bachelor's degree at a highly rated program in philosophy. I also earned two master's degrees in psychology, having thus far completed all requirements for the PhD with the exception of my doctoral dissertation.

I am confident and supportive in the way in which I teach, helping my students to understand often complex materials in simple terms.

My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am therefore available to meet with students requiring help at several different times.

I offer an opportunity for students to experience measurable improvement over time.

Am also experienced in teaching those new to the Macintosh OS.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to hearing from you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Macintosh

I taught graduate and undergraduate students in the Macintosh OS at Long Island University. I have also done private tutoring with the Mac. I was a registered Apple Software Developer for three years. I do my own maintenance and repairs on the Macs I own.

Psychology

Hi. I'm fluent in the study of psychopathology, as well as in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety, depression and schizophrenia. I have several research interests, and am adept at the administration and scoring of a range psychological tests. I'm also experienced in diagnostic interviews such as the SCID, PANSS and the Hamilton Scales. I have also taught Social Psychology and have supervised doctoral students in psychological testing.

I would be very happy to help you in the pursuit of your education. I'm a patient and thorough instructor and, more than this, I enjoy teaching, tutoring and supervising students.
