Dear Students and Parents,

I have heavy duty degrees (Harvard, Columbia, PhD), but I am a very personable and engaging teacher. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts and have much patience. I can suit my approach to the unique personality of each student while still maintaining dedication to mastering the material.

My experience is rather unique, since I have a background in the Arts, mainly Theatre annd Film, as well as Academia.

I have taught in prep schools and colleges, so I am used to teaching students at all levels. I take great satisfaction helping students achieve their goals.

In addition to working with students from many different language backgrounds, I have studied Latin, Ancient Greek, German, French, and Italian. This gives me a linguistic perspective of how language is structured. Whether a student is a beginner or advanced it can help learning to see connections.

I read for a living. In my academic and creative work, my sole purpose is understanding the texts and how they bring meaning to students.
