I have tutored a student in the past in American History. This is actually the subject I enjoy the most since I was a Government major while attending Cornell University. I have also taken several classes on American Foreign policy. I hope to bring this enthusiasm to your child's learning when teaching American History.

For those young students, usually in Middle School, Algebra can be intimidating! I help ease the young students in learning Algebra by making it simple, clear and concise. I start from the basics and build on from there.
Over the past year, I have worked with a PHD student in editing her material for a class. Sometimes the essays are rather short. Sometimes they turn out to be 15 page essay. I can help! So if you are in college, still in High School/Elementary school, or perhaps if you just need help with writing, I am the person to look towards for guidance.
Although Reading is a very vague subject, it may be best to express my expertise from this perspective. I have tutored student K-12, College students and Graduate Students. If you are reading a short story passage, novel, or report, I'm the person who can help you use your critical thinking power to figure this stuff out! I read a ton in college...sometimes 1,000 pages for a semester class. Trust me, I can help, even with the less interesting stuff.
I have tutored students in SAT Math, probably the part of the SAT exam that I enjoy the most. I hope to make your child think in a logic, clear way, when taking the exam. Also, I want them to "relax" so they don't stress out about the exam. The best way to do this is prep them about what's on the exam, how to answer common questions, and to give them the confidence to do well.
The reading passages on the SAT exam are purposely designed to be mundane and boring. But with my help, I will help bring the reading passages to life as you go in and out of SAT reading questions. It will become more interesting as you learn the techniques and strategies when answering questions!
