My passion is seeing the “ Eureka !” look on the faces of those I coach, when they “get” it.

It means I’ve done a superlative job breaking through challenges holding them back from mastering and achieving in their life.

What, makes outstanding coaches?

The answer is on the opposite side of the coaching coin.

Someone outstanding at learning!

If one personally loves learning, as I do, that love and excitement of continual mastery naturally transmits!

Over the years, I can’t tell you how many “ Eureka ” moments I’ve had, but I’ve long since lost count.

Mentoring, coaching, and encouraging seekers of all ages, from elementary school to seniors, I’ve been instrumental in overcoming challenges to mastery in the subjects noted on this page.

For many years as a professional consultant, I have been guiding both prominent and everyday people on financial and wellness issues.

After completing my formal education in grad school, I’ve taught myself far more on my own than what I’ve learned in school.

By loving to learn, mastery arrives naturally and quickly.

With this technique, my students become expert in their subject.

Gaining expertise...isn’t this why you’re here?

I look forward to hearing from you so we may work as a team!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

For thirteen years I was a Wall Street broker at two top-tier firms, involved with futures, equities, options, bonds, portfolio analysis and trading of all of these.

I have additionally been involved in developing business plans and building and running my businesses based on executing my business plan from projections, to niche market analysis to sales.

Business Person’s ESL and American Business Culture Immersion. I can help you overcome the hurdles of quickly getting comfortable with this country’s ways. Reading, writing and business culture are confusing and conflicting here, after leaving your home country, where you were educated and professionally trained. They seem big, but can be done.

My wide range of career experience can help you in all the areas you may
need. For example, I am or previously have been a

-consultant to the top executives of Prudential Insurance, one of the
largest insurers in the United States

-Wall Street broker/trader for 13 years, with accounts of people from
around the world and from numerous industries and cultures, both corporate
and personal

-writer of extensive corporate training materials, where precisely
written, high quality communication skills are vital

-teacher for the US citizenship exam, which includes basic English
pronunciation, vocabulary, American culture, history and government

I have challenged myself, by learning to appreciate another culture, to
see with my eyes, what my students are experiencing through theirs. I
have studied Asian history, philosophy, traditional Chinese medicine,
longevity studies and kung fu.

-college undergraduate major in mass communication and culture, publicity
and propaganda

-graduate student in foreign culture as part of corporate, political
communication

ESL/ESOL

Business Person’s ESL and American Business Culture Immersion:

My depth of career experience (see below), can help you in many areas you seek to be comfortable in your US business dealings.

I can help you overcome the hurdles of quickly adapting to this country’s ways.

Reading, writing, customs and business practices here can be confusing and conflicting, when comparing them with your home country. This may seem challenging, but it is not as difficult as it may seem.

I am or previously have been a

-consultant to top executives of numerous larger US companies, including Prudential Insurance
-Wall Street broker/trader for 13 years, with accounts of people from around the world
-writer of corporate training materials, where precise, communication skills are vital
-coach for the US citizenship exam, which includes English pronunciation and vocabulary, built around American history and government
-college undergraduate major in mass communication and culture, publicity and propaganda
-graduate student in foreign culture as part of corporate, political communication

I have challenged myself, by studying other cultures, to see through my eyes, what you might experience. I have studied Asian history, philosophy, traditional Chinese medicine, longevity studies and martial arts.

Nutrition

You can benefit from my 39 years of studying nutrition and related topics with top experts. Learn to identify and safely take greater control of wellness issues and decisions before they are health issues. Similarly, learn of safe wellness approaches with the potential to re-balance longstanding issues. For example, a Harvard Medical School professor documented, one can overcome an array of life challenges by mastering the double-direction connection of body and mind. This means by positively impacting one’s mind, one can positively impact one’s body and vice-versa. If you are stuck in a part of your life, I can help you identify the “skeleton key” that may be impacting you.

Series 7

Successfully completing the Series 7 opened the door to my having customers who were close associates of two US Presidents, an Ambassador, an Emmy Award winner, the Cheez Doodles inventor, a Carnegie heir, and more. So can you, AFTER we have you pass this exam. Please see my Wyzant Blog on the Series 7 for all the ways I can uniquely help you start and build a successful career, starting with the “7”.

Special Needs

Since the late 1980s I have been helping people with long-term health and wellness-related issues not resolved elsewhere. My role has been in teaching each individual facing these issues, to become literate in this area.

I see special needs as being a variation of this kind of literacy.

Though each special need is unique, most or all special needs evolve from a long-term health or wellness issue. I look at each as a challenge and an opportunity to help raise quality of life.
