I love tutoring. Why? Because it feels amazing when I see the "ohhh" and the "aha" moments in the eyes of the students. It sends me the message that the student has found his/her mistakes and ready to take on a more challenging problem.
My tutoring passion comes from a long hardship of experience. I received my Associated Degrees in Math and Science. Thus, I have much to offer and pass on to my students. I am well aware that hard work, motivation and dedication to learning pays off. From private tutoring experience and tutoring experience in the Grove School of Engineering of the City College of New York, I can usually tell when exactly a student faces problems when he/she approaches with a certain question. Therefore, helping them and guiding them is what I do best.
Listed below are the subjects that I tutor. I have profound knowledge and experience on the subjects that I can almost guarantee that my students will succeed on reaching to the level that they desire. Although I prefer to tutor in technical subjects like Math, Science, and Technology, I can still tutor other general and more liberal subjects because I have experience from taking certain liberal courses that I have taken in college and gained in a broad and general sense.
So the subjects that I tutor are: all levels of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, Global History, English, ESL, Reading, Writing, and Study Skills.
As for test prep, the following are the topics: all SATs, all ACT's, all NYS Regents exams, etc.
For computer needs, I tutor Microsoft Office, C++, MATLAB, STELLA, Adobe Products, and many more.
The way I tend to approach students' needs and to relate to them is that I first give them a diagnostic test to evaluate their level of knowledge at certain subjects. Then, as I get to know the student better, I assign him/her with homework that I believe they should give some time to in order to improve.
I hold myself to a high standard. For that reason, I often ask for feedback, and I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied with my tutoring. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies!
