Didn't do as well as you thought you could have on that math test? Don't worry. I graduated from Columbia University and want to help students improve their math grades or scores.
I scored a 770 on the math section of the SAT. In high school, I graduated cum laude and took classes such as Algebra Honors, Geometry and Trigonometry Honors, Precalculus, and AP Calculus. In college, I received an A+ in Calculus I and A- in Calculus III.
My teaching philosophy rests on first identifying a student's strengths and weaknesses and then finding the root problem of his/her weaknesses and making his/her strengths even stronger. I do assign homework and review tests to challenge a student further, but mainly to offer feedback on his/her performance. It is my goal that my students will walk into test day with confidence of their knowledge and cultivate an appreciation for the material that lasts longer than the course does.
I am flexible in terms of my availability, and I am willing to travel to a local library or mutually convenient location.
