I have been tutoring since my undergraduate days at Oxford, Columbia and Dartmouth. I have extensive experience in one-on-one writing tutoring, through which I have helped students of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Prior to graduating from Dartmouth with distinction in the English major, I earned Firsts as a University of Oxford visiting student. Before enrolling in law school, I developed writing enrichment programming for elementary, middle and high school students as a not-for-profit development director.
I continue to work with high school students preparing college essays for submission to selective colleges, including Princeton University and Williams College, to which my students have recently been accepted. My familiarity with a wide variety of socio-political subject matter allows me to adapt my teaching methods to students’ individual aspirations, which I am committed to understanding in order to specifically tailor essays to suit individual college application processes.
My academic and professional records, which began at a competitive New York City private school, include writing to the standards of the most demanding of authorities, including an Oxford Dean, a Federal Judge and a Fortune 500 Company CEO. By fostering the varying experiences and interests of students, I hope to guide them towards an expressive, eloquent and sophisticated essay, research paper or other writing; one that, for example, offers a college admissions officer a vivid illustration of who the student is and what he or she is capable of achieving if granted admission to a top college.
