My name is Andrew. I have been a teacher for 5 years. I am very lucky to have taught ALL different age levels in 3 different countries. I have complete experience teaching any level of math from grades 1 to 12.
A bit more information on my experience:
I graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in High School Math Education. My first job soon after graduation was at a public high school in the country of England, UK. Here I taught all grades 7-11 for 2 years.
Next, I returned home to NYC and taught a physics related Algebra class called Integrated Math and Science. This school was a public school located in The Bronx, NY. I worked here for two years mostly with 9th graders but did one term with 12th graders teaching trigonometry.
Next I taught abroad again in Thailand. I taught elementary level math from grades 1-6.
Finally, my most recent experience was after Thailand I returned home to NYC. I spent the summer of 2013 teaching summer school at a NYC private school. The subjects I taught were Algebra I, Algebra II, and Pre Calculus.
One of my earlier experiences just before heading to England was teaching the Chinese style Huang Gang math. It was a great experience. This math is pretty much high level Algebra and geometry problems where improvement is gained mostly through practice and problem solving. It has a very specific content.
I am ONLY a math teacher. I say this with a sense of confidence. Math teaching is the only thing I do and I do it well.
Again, you will notice through my experience that there is almost no level of math I have not taught. Your satisfaction is guaranteed when working with me. I look forward to helping you improve your math skills and bring success in your field of education.
Also, during my summer school experience I was able to get a very good direct feedback from my students.
These are their words:
"I learned more from you than I did from my regular teacher."
