I absolutely love teaching. Not everyone learns the same, so I am always prepared to use a wide variety of unique, engaging teaching methods, no matter the subject. I want to see my students gain tangible tools that can be used when the tutoring ends. New information should not just be memorized or drilled, it should be synthesized into empowering life skill sets.
I have worked as a speech teacher to high schoolers, a speech tutor for undergraduate acting students, a dialect coach for theater, a sound designer for both theater and short films, a composer of original music for both theater and short films, a video editor for commercials and television, an acting reel editor, a camera operator for television and sporting events, a sound engineer for television, and have been on 8 extended humanitarian aid trips to a half dozen countries in the last 10 years (which have exponentially increased my ability to work with people from other backgrounds or nationalities).
These positions have not just been jobs for me. They have been opportunities to work in fields for which I have true passion. And if my experience as a student for over 20 years has taught me one thing, it is this: the best teachers are passionate teachers.
You can learn everything you want to learn. All that's needed is commitment, openness, and a good deal of fun. If we have those things, we can get you where you want to be.
