As an international filmmaker, teacher, MFA holder in film, and a recent graduate, I am interested in a teaching position, because this will be a great opportunity to take the steps to becoming a professor in the future. I know the workings of the student environment and how to communicate with this body of people. I believe it is sacred, because I share my mind with others and engage in a symbiotic exchange of ideas, perspectives and possibilities for both parties.
My Teaching Assistant position, while I was studying for an MFA in Film and Video Production, required me to teach basic production classes in Film and Video such as camera work, light settings, and technical theory about process, pre-production, production and post-production. I was also teaching After Effects and Final Cut Pro 7. I am also a holder of a B.A. in business; this practical background also helps me develop and evaluate things in a different and practical manner—with the superior communication skills I’ve picked up throughout different fields over the years.
I work as a freelance cinematographer, photographer, and also director and orchestrate shows for various performance artists. I am a passionate and likeable teacher, and I want nothing more than to share the experiences and knowledge I have in a college environment. I am a good guide for students who are looking to reach their destinations, and a good company when we were walking together on their path.
