Hello! This is Zixuan, I am an effective and efficient Math and Chinese tutor. I specializes in helping younger generation to prepare their high school assessment exam and help college students to get A on their math class. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York.

I tutor different types of math class at all level that includes: Algebra, College Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Advance Calculus, SAT Math, ACT Math. If my students are working toward to get EIT/FE exam. I can provide additional help for FE exam taker, and help them pass the exam.

I will try my best to select instructional resources to meet the needs of my students with varying learning styles and special needs. Algebra 1

I have three years experience in math tutoring. I will focus on teaching how to use of algebraic skills in a wide range of problems-solving situations. My tutoring topics include: 1) operations with real numbers, 2)linear equations and inequalities, 3)relations and functions, 4) polynomials, 5)algebraic fractions, and 6)nonlinear equations. I will select the most suitable excercise questions for my students.

Algebra 2

I have three years experience in tutoring fundamental theme of Algebra. I will focus on helping my students to refresh their memory in Algebra I and provide further development of the concept of a function. Topics include: 1) relations, functions, equations and inequalities; 2) conic sections; 3) polynomials; 4) algebraic fractions; 5)logarithmic and exponential functions; 6) sequences and series; and 7) counting principles and probability.

Calculus

I have two years experience in calculus tutoring. I will focus on teaching examples and practicing typical calculus questions. I can help save more time and get a good grade in an effective and efficient way. My tutoring topics include: AP Calculus (AB&BC), College Calculus (I, II, III), and Vector Calculus.

Geometry

I have three years of math tutoring experience. I will design the customized curriculum that suits my student's needs. My tutoring sections cover: from radian measure, find the area/perimeter of figures composed of polygons and circles, the length of an arc of a circle, Coordinate Geometry, logic, etc.

Prealgebra

I will explain the concept of numbers and how they are manipulated, managed, and represented on the xy-coordinate system. The crucial skills gained from my tutoring section include analysis of numerical relations and spatial-visual understanding of graphing principles. The skills my tutees in my class will stay with them throughout higher math education. It will help my students build up the foundations of the student's algebra, and some basic problem solving skills.

Precalculus

The tutoring topic is included: Algebra ranging from polynomial, rational, and exponential functions to conic sections. Trigonometry concepts such as law of Sin and Cos will be introduced. Then my tutees will begin to learn analytic geometry and calculus concepts. Precalculus is important for any student planning to take a college algebra or AP Calculus class.

Chinese

I can teach reading, speaking, and writing in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. I will help you learn Mandarin Chinese through one-on-one tutoring style in the comfort of your own home or any other location of your choice. I'll select the most helpful and useful class material to improve your Mandarin Chinese.

Electrical Engineering

I have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. I have three years tutoring experience. I understand the needs of different students, I will select and my tutoring material.
