Hello,
My name is Christopher and I am a recent graduate of NYU Master's in Art Education program. My Bachelor's degree was in Psychology and Studio Arts. Therefore I am strong in most subjects. I have been a teacher/tutor in the NYC area for five years now and have excellent references. Learning should be fun. I work with children and teenagers. I am an artist and musician so I relate to the youth.
I currently substitute teach (certified) in the NYC Public School system K-12th grades. My teaching/tutoring style is based on the Socratic method in which I lead the student with questions in order for them to get to the answers. I am excited about the interdisciplinary revolution happening in education right now. I am an amateur scientist as well as a creative artsy type. I love theoretical physics, biology and the study of ecology with an emphasis on sustainability. Being an artist, I am a visual person and use my own personally developed visual aids to help the kids understand complex ideas in physics and math.
