My name is Sean. I am professional living in the Manhattan area. I have tutored on two separate occasions. One time I tutored a high school senior in Calculus and the other time I tutored an EE student in microprocessor and controls engineering. I am very patient. I enjoy helping students who want to learn or succeed scholastically, but need that extra help. I am taking a small break from my normal routine as an electrical controls engineer, but I like to keep myself busy. Tutoring seems like a good use of my time.

Algebra 1

I am a degreed electrical engineer, and so I am very knowledgeable about all mathematical subjects from Prealgebra thru college level Calculus. My cumulative GPA for all my Mathematical classes while at Vanderbilt University was 3.8. I know that doing well in Math in school does not necessarily equate to being a good tutor. However, I am very patient and I do understand how Math can often seem confusing to a struggling student.

Logic

I passed two college level logic courses with an A+. I have a high proficiency in logic - whether it be verbal or more mathematical, and this is demonstrated by my extensive real world experience in C programming which uses Boolean logic and by my experience as an Army Engineer Officer which also requires a high proficiency in logic.

Electrical Engineering

I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BE in electrical engineering in 1998. I later obtained an associates degree in Industrial Automation & Robotics from Texas State Technical College - Sweetwater, TX. in 2006. I have been working in my field of study for the last five years.
