Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to consider me as a tutor. My name is Sarah, and I am currently studying economics and psychology at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. I am currently taking a semester off to pursue educational opportunities in New York City and am particularly looking to work with elementary school and middle school students after school.
I graduated cum laude from Horace Mann School in Riverdale, NY with honors in English, History, Science, and Spanish. There, I edited the features section of our weekly newspaper, copy-edited both the fashion and science publications, and played tennis and softball all four years. However, my most relevant extracurricular in high school was acting as a peer tutor, an activity through which I found that I really enjoyed working with students, particularly those younger than I.
I am a particularly energetic and enthusiastic person whose passion for education, learning, and teaching knows no bounds. My patience for younger children is also a significant asset to my ability to tutor. In addition, I am super friendly and would love to get to know your child not only on an academic level, but also on a personal level. I would like to be seen not only as a tutor, but as a friend and source of support. Our relationship would not be limited to homework!
