I am a certified teacher with 12 years classroom experience. My degree is in Early childhood and Elementary Education and I have worked with students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. I specialize in Writing, Reading, Vocabulary, and Study Skills, and approach learning with enthusiasm and creativity!

I believe that every child can be successful in the classroom and I use a variety of techniques to allow each student to become more confident. I have 6 years' classroom experience teaching reading to middle school students. My focus is novel studies, Shakespeare, reading comprehension, and short story discussion.

I am familiar with different teaching strategies for reading comprehension and am currently tutoring two fifth grade girls. My lesson plans can be adapted to meet the needs of students with a wide range of abilities and talents.

Study skills are general techniques used for organizing oneself and managing one's time. I have used the following techniques in my own classroom with great success.
