Hello! My name's Will. I graduated from Kenyon College with a double major in English and Drama, with distinction in both. I am very passionate about education, and I have extensive experience as an educator and tutor. In high school, I received an 800 on both the reading and writing portions of the SAT, and ran a small after-school tutoring program for younger students interested in creative writing. I also helped them with essay writing and college application writing.
I have worked as a writing counselor at two different camps: The University of Virignia Young Writers Workshop, where I taught poetry and scriptwriting, and the University of Dallas Arete Program, where I tutored young students in writing essays, composing arguments, and using correct grammar and punctuation. I worked at the Writing Center at Kenyon College for 4 years, where I helped a diverse group of students with their writing, especially students who were working with English as a second language. I have also tutored students with special needs, at Dallas' Notre Dame Special School, in writing and mathematics skills.
I'm an aspiring writer with immense patience and excellent childcare skills. I write US History questions for a practice test website, and am very knowledgeable about US History. I've been published for my fiction and creative non-fiction, and I won awards at Kenyon College for fiction, poetry, and playwriting. I'm an active theatre artist. Passionate, fun, and patient.
My style will vary depending on your needs, but the one constant is this: learning is serious fun.
